TWO MEETINGS
will be held on August 26-28, 2008 at the Plains Hotel,
1600 Central Avenue, Cheyenne,
Wyoming:
A MoRAST
meeting will be held August 27-28, 2008:
The meeting will
be held at the Plains Hotel. It will start at 2 PM MDT on the
27th and adjourn around 1 PM on the 28th.
Expected agenda items include the business meeting; reservoir
operations and the AOP process; MRRIC status; tribal travel
support criteria; discussion of the purpose, scope and approach
for the proposed study of the 1944 Flood Control Act; State,
Tribal and Federal reports and perhaps other items.
An Upper
Missouri River Basin Cooperators’ Roundtable will be held August
26-27, 2008:
MoRAST is co-sponsoring this event with the Interstate Council
on Water Policy (ICWP) and the U.S. Geological Survey. The
Roundtable will focus on stream gaging, other water data and the
USGS Cooperative Water Program. It will begin with registration
at the Plains Hotel at 12:30 PM MDT on August 26th.
There will be a reception at the Hynds
Lodge, Curt Goudy State Park that evening at 6:00 PM. The
Roundtable will continue on the 27th at the Plains
Hotel and conclude with a luncheon and closing remarks. Click

The MoRAST
meeting will then begin at 2 PM on the 27th, also at
the Plains Hotel.
Logistics:
A block of sleeping rooms has been reserved at The Plains Hotel
(1600 Central Ave, Cheyenne, WY) at the government rate of
$70/night (plus tax); contact the hotel directly at
307-638-3311 and refer to "ICWP" when making your reservations.
The cut-off date for this reserved room rate is August 5,
2008.
Note: Since the
Democratic National Convention is being held in Denver the week
of August 25, you are encouraged to make travel plans soon as
most flights to Cheyenne, WY route through Denver.
